The Confidence Course September 2026

Creative Confidence Workshops

Find the courage to create

Join Kate and a handful of guest teachers for a series of inspiring webinars, workshops and creative experiences designed to help you reconnect with your natural creativity and build the confidence to express yourself more freely.

These practical, ‘no pressure’ sessions will help you quiet your inner critic, overcome perfectionism and self-doubt, and rediscover the joy of creating in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Whether you’re returning to a creative passion, trying a creative practice for the first time or just longing to bring more curiosity and play into your life, you’ll learn practical tools to help you move beyond fear and trust your own ideas. Through guided reflections, thought-provoking conversations, simple creative exercises and experiential activities, you’ll discover that creativity is far more about courage than talent.

Throughout the year, Kate will be joined by guest artists, makers and teachers for a range of special workshops exploring different creative practices, including writing, sketching, watercolour, ceramics and other hands-on experiences. Each workshop is designed to nurture confidence rather than perfection, helping you enjoy the process of creating without the pressure to get it right.

No artistic experience is required – everyone is welcome.

Frequently asked questions

Not at all. This series is designed for beginners and for anyone who has ever thought, “I’m just not creative.” You’ll be guided through each workshop in a supportive environment where curiosity matters far more than talent.

Many people feel this way before they join us (and in fact, it’s probably why you’re here). The workshops are designed to help you let go of perfectionism, quiet your inner critic and simply enjoy the process of creating. There is no judgement, comparison or expectation to produce a masterpiece.

Only if you would like to. Sharing is always optional. Many people enjoy hearing about each other’s experiences, but there is never any pressure to show or explain what you’ve created.

The truth is, you already are. Creative confidence isn’t about producing perfect work. It’s about giving yourself permission to explore, play, learn and enjoy the process.

This is a new series so it’s still evolving but as well as the online workshops, the in-person sessions will include a variety of creative experiences, such as drawing, watercolour, ceramics, journalling and other hands-on workshops led by guest artists and facilitators. Each session offers an opportunity to explore a different medium while building your creative confidence.

Not at all. This course is suitable for everyone. The focus is not on the quality of the output – it is simply about immersing you in the joy of creativity.

You will need:

  • A computer, tablet, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone for Zoom sessions.

  • A reliable internet connection to join live sessions and access course materials.

  • An email address for all workshops, as course materials will be emailed.

  • A journal or sketchbook (it doesn’t need to be anything fancy), your favourite writing pen or pencil and a couple of lead pencils for quick drawing (HB and 2B ideally).

Research shows that engaging in creative activities can reduce stress, improve wellbeing, increase cognitive flexibility and foster a greater sense of purpose and joy. More importantly, creativity reminds us that we don’t have to be perfect to experience fulfilment.

If you withdraw from the program within 7 days of commencing, we’ll happily offer a full refund.
